I ran the poly and Marvel-tuned ace mags but neither has compared to the reliability of the GSG's.

I have two GSG's for my unit 1

They have both been flawless so far.

I would treat them like any other .22 magazine and keep them clean, but you knew that already.

I purchased 2 of them, upon seeing how nice they worked I purchased 6 more and sold all the Colt Ace magazines I had.

I also like the added weight they provide and you can drop them on concrete without de-tuning them! Take my word for it no need to try this on your own!

Just a heads up, The GSG mags sold by marvel are different from the ones sold by GSG or others, marvel modifies them to work with their lock back system.

GSG mags come now standard with the Unit 1 original (NO Lockback). Work perfectly, but one has to slingshot the first round.

I bought a GSG mag from midwayusa, and it looks identical to the one provided by Marvel. The GSG mag with Marvel Lockback is modified.

I tried using a new Metalform 22 Colt ace mag, and I had problems feeding.

The Plastic Kimber magazine works fine, and I use it mostly for practice.

The Action Pistol component of our local club bought a GSG for the beginner shooter to try the game out. They also picked up 6 mags for it. Several weeks ago I commandeered all 6 and tried them through my Unit 2. I didn't have one hickup out of the bunch. I was impressed.

New Mags make the Marvel shoot like a new gun. So now it is back on its Springfield frame with trigger set at same weight as my Les Baer and has a new MatchDot II on top

I had trouble with them in an older Springfield lower. They are about .030" thinner than a 45 mag and would not stay in the Springfield. I called Marvel and they said that happens sometimes and they exchanged for the Ace type and all is well.

For my Marvel Unit 1, I have 1 GSG Lock Back from Marvel and 3 regular GSG's. All work perfect with my Kimber Gold Combat frame. These are high quality magazines. The Kimber polymer magazines work fine also.
