SOLD---Advantage Arms .22 target conversion

Post by wizzer on 7/16/2018, 8:45 pm

This is the Marvel designed iron sight target version with the lock back slide (S&W M41). Less than a brick through it with no issues.  Comes with 2 extra recoil springs-8#/9#-and 2 buffers.  This unit has the slide stop insert held on with 2 screws.

SOLD

Somewhat puzzled myself--maybe I should raise the price a $100 higher?

I would be a lot more interested if Advantage didn't say that the conversion does not fit a Springfield Range Officer.

That seems weird to me.

That seems weird to me.

It’s because of the Springfield ils using such a heavy spring, or it’s the ejector on the 9mm interfering with magazines

Worked fine on my SA RO when I replaced the 40# mainspring and housing guts with STD 19# .

It’s typical for a conversion to not work on a S.A. Because the ILS mainspring is 28 or 30 pounds. The spring and it’s caps need to be replaced with standard parts and something like 19 pound spring or close to it.
