I found the rear sight for this pistol. It is a Kensight. I think this gun would qualify as a ball gun with the trigger shoe and scope removed and re-installing the rear sight.

Cort,
Trigger shoes are legal on a ball gun.  Surprised no one has bit on this one.  Buddy builds a good pistol.

Curious about the box.  Are you able to lock it?  Do you know what brand it is?  Or is it custom?  Do the pistols face in the same or opposite directions?  How would you go about mounting a scope to it?  Would the box remain open, or closed?

Do pistols typically face in opposite or the same directions in a box?

1. The box only has latches; no locking system.

2. I don't have a clue as to the brand. There is no label on the box but it does appear to be commercially made.

3. You could place the pistols in the same direction but they would be a bit close to one another. I think placing them in opposite directions would be better.

4. The design of the box does not lend itself to mounting a scope to the box. I believe the owner used a separate tripod with his spotting scope.

5. I think that most boxes store the adjacent guns in opposite directions.

It would only take a little imagination to make a scope mount.

Looks like you could easily mount one of Greg’s spotting scope mounts to the lid. The upper side of the lid is over a large cavity in the box when closed. Like it’s intended for a scope to be mounted there with room in the box for the scope. Looks like an older Gun-Ho box to me.

The gun box is sold pending funds. The pistol is still available. I believe the pistol should shoot extremely well. I had a Buddy Chapman wad gun back when I shot Bullseye. The gun was a jewel (in my opinion).

I went to the range today with my .45 and with the Essex .45. I posted the same scores with each gun. My eyes don't handle Bullseye any more so the scores were nothing to brag about. My .45 just received a tune-up from Clark Custom Guns over in Louisiana. It is in top condition from the test target that came back with it. Considering how well it shot, I think the Essex is a great beginner's .45 for Bullseye.

Maybe you can post the test target from Clark, might help sell it.

The test target from Clark is for my personal .45. It is not for sale. The pistol that is for sale is an Essex frame with a Colt National Match slide built by Buddy Chapman of Lone Oak, TX. I know Buddy provided a test target with the gun but my friend's widow did not seem to have it.
