IZH-35 No longer for sale.

Post by messenger on 9/12/2018, 4:06 pm

Due to lack of interest and low ball offers I have decided to give this pistol to my son for his birthday. He has shown an interest in getting back into Bullseye.

I've never shot a Pardini, but I have shot both the FWB and IZH. The only reason I didn't buy an IZH was that there are no longer magazines or spare parts available for them.  That being said , you could buy 3 or 4 of them for the price of 1 FWB. The IZH doesn't have the recoil compensation that FWB has, but the bore axis is so low that the dot never rises. The trigger has all the adjustments you would expect on a 208S or any other European gun, but the trigger shoe was narrow and a little rough.  The IZH is also safe to dry fire without a snap cap.

Kinda tough to compare the Izzy to the Pardini or the FWB. I like the balance of my Pardini, FWB, and Benelli better. The trigger of the Izzy is better than the Benelli. Not too much adjusting can be done with the Benelli. It is fun to shoot though. It's just not as refined. It's like comparing a Mig 15 to a F 86 Saber.

First I would like to buy that gun but do not have the time and budget. +1 on buying 2 or 3, however EAA the old importer may have parts and I think Wolf makes springs so it is not like buying a Seko Trace but parts are an issue. I think the major thing that goes wrong with them is the firing pin but its been a long time since I considered getting one.

However, they shoot great and unlike the Benelli mounting a scope is not a big deal. My experience with the Benelli is they are a little finicky if the mags are not tuned and you are using Larry's mount. However the iron sights on the Benelli are so good you do not need a dot if your eyes are good.

Second, others may be more expert than I but I believe the AW 93 is fundamentally an improved IZH 35 M

Parts being an issue what else might you have with this piece?

Have you benched it and if so what is the grouping 25 and 50 yards from a bench or similar device?

Date of manufacture?
