wolf primers

Anyone use wolf primers I would be using them for plinking

I don't use them personally, but some of my friends use them with no issues. Even for match ammo.

Sometimes there will be bulk sales from powdervalley. keep your eyes open.

I use them for IDPA, practice ammo only. I can buy them cheaper than anything else but I do get one or two failures to fire out of each 200 round batch. They are slightly harder to seat and a few will sit up high enough that I have to reseat them. I use the more expensive Winchester or CCI primers for competition and have zero failures to fire.

I tried the wolf primers for my .32 and .45. They don't seat fully in the .32 and only go bang about 80% of the time.

Its fine if that's only for practice but I would NEVER use for match ammo.

how much do you save over tried and true brands?unless its half the price it's not worth it to me, i'll buy the good stuff.

Hi Paper, I think there may be an issue with the small pistol primers only. i've heard of many FTF problems

with Wolf and Tula SP primers. My son has shot six 45 class matches and several hundred training shots

using Tula LP primers. He has not had ANY problems whatsoever with the Tula LP loads, and this is critical because

2/3rds of the match shooting is Timed/Rapid fire. I'm assuming Tula and Wolf are the same primer. I have also used

CCI LP primers and I see no difference in performance between the two mfgr's primers...except for a $6.00 cost difference.

Okay, I admit it; I'm cheap(retired).

I'm halfway through a sleeve of large primers with no failures. Their size is less consistent than Win or Fed (some hard to seat, some easy). I've not accuracy tested them. I only know they shoot on call at 50 ft.
