Kart 22 on gunbroker

Post by teg2658 on 11/16/2018, 9:24 pm

On Gunbroker there is a complete Kart 5 inch 22 conversion on a frame with "H" in the serial number, Kart made very few 5 inch units and I think the frame is a Gil Hebard. The second unit is a Colt Ace that Kart cut, his original units were made this way. It has a Bomar rib with a extended sight and a 5.5 or 6 inch extended barrel. Some of his units had the floating chamber soldered and some had a extended after market barrel.
A piece of history but a tight shooting machine. It is located in CA if that makes a difference to shooters there.

Yeah, it being in CA is a fishhook. It jerked my face over, that's for sure.

8 days left and starting at $580 means bupkis at this point.

I hope it stays in CA.

(I already have one; Jon, I'm not going to get in a bidding war with you on this one Laughing)

I just looked 100 miles from the house. They can only do private party transfer in Ca. or ship out of state. This same seller sold an early Clark 45 longslide for $4k last month.
Gonna be watching.

The frame is from a Colt .38 Special Kit pistol. Produced from 1963-1972, 00100-H 00703-H The seller doesn't show the top end for the Kit pistol if he has it. The second top end is from a Colt .22 Conversion Unit. Very nice package.

It's nice to see someone still appreciated these old rare Kart's. Jon you made a valiant effort.

Dang $2134! That's a lot of dough for an older conversion. Are parts even available still?
