Ultra Dot question: Empty Ultra Dot question:

Post by Wingshot Sun Mar 10, 2013 12:07 am

A shooter in our indoor league brought me an Ultra Dot, 1" tube w/rubber sunshade and offered it up to mount on my S&W 22A-1. He couldn't come up with an asking price because it came on the used pistol he bought and he prefers the iron sights. I know what new ones are selling for but what would be a fair price that would be good for both of us? It has no covers or caps and I don't know if the polarization filter was ever installed,( the front lense has a reddish orange color to it?). I know it's a few years old, can anyone give me an idea what it would be worth? No dings or tool marks but I have not shot with it yet.

If it is one of the newer ones with click adjustable w & e. I'd say $75- $80.

The polarizing filter is not installed or you would notice it right away as one of the two rings would be adjustable to increase or decrease the amount of light coming thru. The red tint in the front lens is normal in a "naked" condition. Unless it was really in mint condition and had all of the accessories with it, about $75 is the right price. They are a lot of fun. Good luck with it.

If you use a screwdriver to make adjustments, on the newer ones, you will feel a definite click. The older UltraDots had flat caps and when you turn the adjustment screw you won't feel any clicks, but it will just be a smooth turn.

The adjustments give an audible click. The O-rings are all good under the battery cap and adjustment caps.
