I had the turret of my Ultradot Four detach tonight at the range.  Is there an at home fix?  Or, do I have to send it off?

Ultradots are supposed to have a lifetime warranty. Send it back. When you say turret, do you mean the elevation adjustment on the Ultradot Matchdot II?

I swear I have shared this tip to Ultradot users here, but maybe it was on another board.

Always turn the on/off/brightness knob clockwise.
Even if you went a click too far, go all the way around clockwise to your desired setting.
Even if you are on #3 and just want to back up to turn it off, don't do it, go clockwise all the way around to turn it off.
Bottom line is clockwise only Smile

This also eliminates contact problems for the battery on those ocassional "the dot disappeared at the wrong time " issues.

Hope this helps.

If your dot flickers or goes out suddenly, rotate the knob clockwise about 10 times around. Two of the three times I've seen this happened it allowed the shooter to finish the match. Of course the one time it didn't was when MY dot went out at Perry. Go figure.
