older custom guns

Both of my 45's were built by John Videki ( hope the spelling is right). The centerfire is a colt model 70 with a bowmar rib and extended sight with bowmar rear. It was built back in the late 70's. It still drives tacks at 25 and 50 yards. My HB 45 is from an essex frame and all NM parts from there up.It is equiped with bowmar sights as well. It was built in 1981. It still shoots knot holes. Are the Videki built guns of years gone by still holding their value or has the new crop of guns taken over. I am considering going to a red dot on the centerfire gun and dropping the bowmar rib and extended site since my 53 year old eyes and trifocal glasses give me fits. Any hints on what I will run into there? I want to keep the HB gun as is for shooting leg matches. I need 16 more points as of now.

Can you post a picture of the top of your wadgun's bomar rib?  I can point you in the direction of a nice replacement scope rail that should mount in the same holes.
