Good day in Magic City

Post by DavidR on 4/7/2014, 9:43 am

I  shot the first 2700 at the reopened Magic City Gun club near Birmingham Al. bullseye range Saturday, very nice rebuild, 30 firing points and will be the home for the State and Regional this year.  Shot a personal best 50 yard slow fire target in 22, looked like a 98,3x but scorer overlaid it and marked a 99 3x , finished with a 294 NMC and a 861, and 2484, good enough to win the expert class. Good times!

Great shooting David.  I was in Birmingham and shot in the same match.  Really nice range and great reception for an 'out of towner".

No need to bring that type of shooting back to Georgia.  Wink

Nice target and write up.

Magic City has never been closed. The club has not had NRA bullseye matches for several years. The pistol range had fallen into disrepair. The target frames have been replaced at 25,50 yards. I am very happy that 2700 matches are back. I missed the first match due to a funeral.

I meant the Bullseye range, its all I ever went for so when they stopped it was closed imo. I plan to be back there end of may for the state match.
