KCs Frame Scope Mount

Post by Axehandle on Tue Aug 12, 2014 11:27 am

Thinking I need one of KCs frame scope mounts for my newest wadcutter gun.  Any of you guys have more detailed pictures than the ones on his web site?   Big question about it being made for a 30mm tube too.  I see shims at Brownell's to mount my 1 inch Burris scope in 30mm rings.  KC says the mount gets the scope very close to the top of the slide.  You guys think the larger objective of my Burris scope will be a problem?  Pictures look like they will clear to me..

Ax, I'm going to be installing one in a couple of weeks or less.  I can take more detailed pics for you at that time.  What ever questions you have give me a shout.  I'll do my best to answer them for you.

Thanks KC.  Please do post more pictures when you can.  Looked at your pictures on a better computer screen and got a better look.  I'm thinking I can just shim up the Burris scope in the 30mm rings and all will be fine.  Putting a few 100 rounds through this Severns Baer pistol.  The hard Hat treatment confused me a bit in my first evaluation of the gun but a few 100 rounds down the pipe and it is looking better.  I think it may do for a paper puncher!  pirat

EGW makes a set of reducers for rings from 30mm to 1 inch.  Would probably be the best bet.

Hopefully less!!  I think the gun he is referring to is mine.
Looking forward to shooting a frame mount again.

Yes David, that is the one.  Not "mine" original company was Red Buff.  I just have a few of them left in inventory.

Excellent telephone discussion with KC this morning.  I'll be sending one to him in the next week or so for a new Kart barrel/bushing fitting and a frame scope mount.
