I have this one and have used it for years without any issues.

I sprung for the Harvey Deprimer tool.  Just received it and it is made like a tank and works as advertise.  Works easily on my .45s and my .284 rifle brass as well.

so is it easy to press a primer out or does it take a lot of hand pressure?

Very little pressure for 45 ACP.

Holy Cow Chip: buy the Lee Universal Decapping and depriming die from Midway; for $12.99 instead

of this Harvey tool priced at $50 Cool .  The Lee die is mounted on your press, which I assure you, takes

FAR less effort to deprime than the Harvey tool. I've had and used my Lee die for at least three years,

and the primers and residue drop down the clearance plastic tube in my Lee press. Military crimped

primers are child's play when depriming on a press.  The depriming process is not one that needs

a delicate or sensitive feed back such as using a hand priming tool.

The portability is a plus, carry it and a bag of brass while waiting in the car for the wife to shop !

I really don't want to get all that residue from lead stypnate primers on my hands, and I sure don't want it in my car or my den.
I can understand and cannot argue against the handiness of it, but I don't think it will suit my needs at this moment.

If I want to deprime in the den, I can easily carry my portable reloading stand/RCBS Partner Press to the den.
