Clean a Target... Show us!
First topic message reminder :
Just thought we could all use some Positive Reinforcement so I made this a "sticky" which means its always at the top in this topic. So when you shoot a clean target and want to hoot a little post it here for all to see!
Here is what I did last night at our weekly indoor league, 50 ft on the NRA reduced target, shot Timed fire style in four strings of 5 shots, we hang two targets at a time. 100 6x and a 100 7x this was a first for me to clean two in the same set of targets. Ended with a 493 26x out of possible 500.

Joe L wrote:Finally shot a good timed fire target...in practice, of course. Norma Tac 22, CZ Kadet with Ultradot Micro HD. Kinda ruined me for the rest of the session, however. One would think it is possible to shoot 2 or 3 clean targets in one day. I've only done two in one day once and there weren't many x's.

That group is tight, too - no doubts. Nice.
10X targets are tough to come by, even in training (at least for me). My last match, I shot 5 9X targets, yet nary a 10X to be found...

Re: Clean a Target... Show us!
Thanks, John. Right now, I'd trade all my clean short line targets for a few 95+ slow fire at 50 yard targets! Slow fire is what I really need to improve on.
Seeing others shoot well helps!

Somehow I managed to clean the TF, but final score was still nothing to brag about...

Here's my first and only clean target during a match - I'm 10 matches into my first season shooting on a 25 yard indoor bullseye league. Purchased my first gun almost 11 months ago today, one of the best decisions I've ever made (for my health and happiness).

Here's my second ever clean target in a match. Shot in about 13 matches now so far. Still waiting on that first centerfire clean!

First clean target. 2nd timed fire in a 900 match last Sunday. Followed it up with a 99 in rapid fire.

First clean ever in centerfire with my 1911. Been working on getting one of these in a match all season (first season shooting bullseye). 25 yards indoor

Some more rapid fire cleans from today's match, the 22 is a 11 round alibi clean.

After reading "Bullseye Mind"...
Seriously,
It helped me stop some bad negative thinking habits (at least for one match) and shot a PR of 873-37x. I'm posting one of my targets, cheers, dipnet

Re: Clean a Target... Show us!
Well, if you insist...

That one shot almost escaped to the 9 ring
The funny thing is that it wasn't even a gun I normally shoot, it was a 1911 with Nelson conversion that I built for my son. He said there are too many misfires, so I installed a heavier mainspring and decided to shoot a match with it, just to see how it behaves.

Great Shooting! 100's at 50 yds are few and far between.

Here are my targets from the CF timed fire match at the Iowa state championship this weekend. Just started using KC's roll trigger on the 45 this season. 200-15x

My first 100-10X shot with my Spring Mil Spec 45 Jon accurized using an Ultradot 30mm. Practice at local range not a match, but just as proud and one hell of a confidence builder. I shot a NMC. 95-3X, 100-10X, 100-4X : NMC Agg, 295-17X.
