185 vs 200 grain

All of my shooting ( for now) is indoors at 50 feet. Should I be using a 185 gr. or 200 grain bullet. What are the best moulds for each bullet?

I like the Lyman 4-Cavity Bullet Mold #452630. A 200gr bevel base. But when lube/sizing with a Lyman 450, the finished bullet will need the lube removed from the bevel.  

if all you shoot is 50 feet indoors, a 160 or 185 would be better, heavier the bullet the more recoil to deal with. I doubt at 50 feet it matters much which style mold you use, but in the target world there probably isn't anything better than the HG68 style bullet for target shooting.

Simple answer is that you will have to try some different bullets to see what your gun seems to like. Probably the cheapest way into the casting arena is the Lee six cavity knockoff of the H&G 68. Personally I like the NOE molds. They have a lot of nice features that make producing top notch bullets  more of a sure thing. They can be ordered with a port for a thermometer and they have a good lube for the cutoff plate that will help make your other molds work better too. Also you can talk directly to Al and get a mold modified if you need to. Their 5 cavity molds are reasonably priced for the quality at around $100.00. They offer a 198 gr version of the H&G 130 that could probably be cut down to give a 185 or a bit lighter if that's what you want. If this sounds like an advertisement, please understand that I have bought a number of their molds recently and have been quite pleased with them. They can also fit the mold for hollowpoint pins which wil get their version of the H&G 68 down to about 185 grains.

The master shooter who was my mentor always told shooters that "lubed rocks will clean a slowfire target at 50 feet."

It really won't matter which you choose as long as they feed well.
