Bullseye .22 Pistol Recommendation?

I'm looking for a .22 pistol. Right now, what looks good are Hammerli SP20 and Benelli MP90.

Any opinions?

Once I broke 800 with a Ruger MKIII I bought a M41. Both are great.

I can't say anything for those two because I have no experience with them. But I can say that with a proper trigger, and a set of grips that fit you a Ruger MKII or MKIII can take you a long way on the journey. I have a MKIII and like it but I shoot the S&W Model 41 far better. The model 41 is a darn fine shooting iron but they can be finicky and require tuning in the recoil spring or extractor. Mine needed both to run the ammunition that it shoots best. The Ruger however eats anything. 

Benelli and Hamerli both make wonderful guns from what I hear. So does Feinwerbau and Sig, Pardini and Walther. I feel that guns are like shoes. Find the ones that fit your hand good (and today with aftermarket grips it could be all of em) and then look at pros and cons. 

KC put it perfectly to me once here recently. My M41 was like buying a BMW but then crying over the pricy parts and labor to tinker with its complex design and easily irritated personality. Think about buying a Ford or Chevy or Honda where the parts are easier to get, easier to maintain and just as if not more reliable. Unless money isn't a concern or you're just smitten by the two options. I know what that's like. Fell in love with a 41 before I knew what I was getting into. But after tuning it runs like a top. If I do my job I'll have 95 or better at 50 with it.

See if you can try the SP20 and the MP90. I have an MP 90 and I think that it is a great pistol. But... It can be finniky with ammo and if shooting cci will require that the chamber be brushed and clean at the start of a match. Also you need to keep the magazines clean. 

With Euro ammo it is VERY dependable. Right now I mostly shoot Norma TAC for indoors at 50  feet and 25 yards. 

I also have a Pardini that has required some trigger adjustments for me to shoot it well. It shoots Eley Target and Club very well and shoots the Norma well too. It is an older pistol and the mags will not accept cci std. I cLean the chamber and the magazines before every match.

I must have lucked out with my 41. Its a mid 80's and has not had an alibi yet and I shot it a lot this past season. CCI SV and Eley Club. True enough an MKIII will eat anything.

I can't say enough good about the MP90. I have two of them. (one in 32) I had zero alibi's last season and that includes Camp Perry. These pistol are steel framed and simple in their design. Very elegant and user friendly. 

I use CCI SV for practice and Ely Target or Club for matches.
