Just got the CMP newsletter and they've got a link to all the improvements being made.

Looks like drain tile, possible elevated walking paths (difficult to see where all of these would be).

Overdue, in my humble opinion.  Perhaps the risk of losing the Pistol phase to the Cardinal center assisted in the decision improve the wet conditions.

Great news!  Relentless forward progress by Camp Perry and the CMP.  Originally General Critchfield said his goal was to make it so dry a frog would need a canteen.  Historically the area was known as the Great Black Swamp and was avoided by the native tribes.  The inventions of machine made vitrified clay tile and machines that could ditch the fields made farming possible and led to the influx of many German immigrant  farmers whose "century" farms live on today.
