Take it easy on me, I'm new around here.
As title states, what would you guys recommend for a powder charge weight using Bulls-eye & Dardas H&G mold pattern "button" bullet?
Indoors, & I hate to admit it, but my eyes are so bad I generally only shoot at the 7 yd line.
Many thanks in advance for your counsel.

You could start at 4.0 and then try working up or down from there in .1 gr. increments. My stock Range officer will handle 3.8 with the lead 185, it might work at lower charges with a 14lb recoil spring, but at 3.8 I felt that the stock spring was fine.

3.8 works in my R1 and Gold Cup.

I shoot with an older gentleman (retired pistolsmith, High Master and 2650 Club member) who shoots exclusively at the 15 yard line now.  God bless him....just keep shooting....we will all be there someday.

Many thanks, gentlemen, for the recommendations.
Interestingly, that has been my favorite charge weight
for the last 15 years or so. Before Alliant bought out
Hercules, I and others got by with 3.2. After the owner-
ship change, we had to increase to 3.6-3.8.

I would stick with the 3.6 if that works.
