Camp Perry Entry Fees 2016

Post by clark2245 on 2/23/2016, 3:09 pm

As mentioned earlier registration for Camp Perry 2016 is open, and I recommend you do it sooner rather than later since the match entry fees will go up before long.

https://competitions.nra.org/campperrysignup/

The program shows (pages 37-38) and I confirmed with the NRA office the prices will go up considerably after the end of March.   The time to register is now.   Below is a copy of what is in the program:

.22 Caliber Entry after 30 June $125

CMP registration will open April 1 according to their web site, but since they do not increase prices that will not be a factor.

I can't find the minimum age limit for the NRA National Matches in the NRA Rulebook or Program. The NRA Rulebook allows "Sub-Junior" classification through 12/31 of the year of their 14th birthday but doesn't seem to specify a minimum.

The CMP Rulebook (4.4.1, 4.4.2) allows 12yrs old for .22 rimfire EIC matches, 14 years old for Pistol SAFS, 16yrs Service Pistol EIC matches.  They also permit Age Restriction Waivers in 4.4.5.  "...sponsors MAY waive..." (Emphasis mine)

So, would a 12yr old, with adult supervision, be eligible to shoot ".22-only" at the National Matches?  Where is it documented?

I would suggest contacting:

Elizabeth Martin
NRA Pistol Programs Specialist
Competitive Shooting Division
bmartin@nrahq.org

She is the one I work with setting up my matches and has been very helpful with any questions about rules or anything else along those lines.   If she doesn't already know the answer she will find out.

Perry Match fees

Post by dennymac on 2/29/2016, 3:00 pm

Good afternoon. This will be my first trip to Camp Perry for the pistol matches. Is the $200 fee for the National Championship for the entire 2700 pistol match? Are the $85 fees for the individual matches just if you shoot a separate match, by itself? Sorry if I seem dense. Thanks in advance for the help. DennyMac

Denny,
The entry fee covers all three of the NRA 2700 matches (Thursday, Friday, Saturday) plus the "Preliminary Match" (NMC with each gun (Wednesday).  I'm not sure about "Distinguished Revolver" which is also an NRA event.

For clarity, the CMP events have separate fees and entry process.

Distinguished Revolver and Harry Reeves are extra fees on top of the $200. The rest is through CMP.
