Howdy from Aggieland

Post by Lightfoot on 8/10/2016, 2:04 pm

Howdy Folks!

I'm new here and wanted to introduce myself.  I shot international back in the late 80's-early 90's and have been out of the sport until this year.  I still haven't shot an official match yet, but I'm planning to this month in Houston.

Looking forward to learning and getting better, especially at 45.

Lots of good info check the sticky subjects at the top of each section and use the search, I doubt you could find a question about this sport that hasn't been asked and answered already. welcome!

Hey Lightfoot, what's your name? I shot international in late 80's early 90's as well.

More Texas shooters, this is great!
BTW there is a Regional Championship coming up at Wichita Falls. The Houston BE group will have the info.

Jon, names Steve Lightfoot. I shot on Texas A&M pistol team from '88-92. I shot at colligiate nationals each year and also shot once at Ft Benning and once at Prado. So maybe we crossed paths when we were young and dumb.

I remember shooting with some Aggies back then. I was on USAR International Pistol Team back then. I remember meeting a guy on your team (can't remember his name) who knew a guy from Texas I was stationed with in the Army when in Germany. Small World! Welcome back to the sport!
