SW 41 - What's it worth? Empty SW 41 - What's it worth?

I have a friend who it selling off a family member's pistols and they have a S&W 41 "Performance Center" pistol that he said was purchased last year (never been fired).  Does anyone know what this might be worth?  He has given me a price that might just be too good to pass up.

MSRP for that Performance Center gun is $1,619, a standard (non Performance Center) lists for $1,349. I looked for a new (standard) one for two years and finally gave up and bought used last summer for $775. Just saw two new ones at the LGS a couple weeks ago, I believe they were priced about $1,000.
