Has anyone used these??  Thinking about getting one to dry fire with....just to see if the laser agrees with my shot calls.
    Thanks in advance;

Not I, I dry fire on a wall....but not nearly as much as I should.

This looks cool, has recoil too

Anything that gets you to train more is good. Some folks get bored with dry firing pretty quickly.

If you meant the kind that sends out a laser pulse when the hammer falls, I tried to use one with a video camera on the target. The laser blinked so fast the camera missed it more often than not, even at 60 FPS HD.

The biggest issue I found with most of the laser training kits is that they wind up training a shooter to look at the target (to see the impact). That's almost like jumping in the scope to look for the shot.  And that's exactly what I do not want to do.

I want time to call the shot, then verify the impact point.  Very few of the kits and equipment do this.

I found it was better to just dryfire and really concentrate on the sight alignment / location than using something that did not suit my purpose better.

But any training is better than none, just watch out for any other potential consequences.

Thank you for the advice and information folks.... and it's all pretty close to what I was expecting to hear.  Sure would be watching for the dot to flash on the target when the hammer falls.  I dry fire every day....and it's working. Sometimes the hold is dead still for a second or two, but my biggest problem is in getting a decent tigger pull to go with it. Almost have myself talked into getting the roll kit from Mr KC soon.
         I've been lurking around here and reading for a couple months now and have learned a bunch. Mostly that this kind of shooting is the toughest to do, and also the most rewarding when I get it right. (that don't happy very often though).
                                                                                Again, thanks for the replies

I used a rail mount laser for a bit and it was useful for seeing trigger pulling movement with iron sights.  The problem was that I could not focus on aligning the sights and watching the laser at the same time and it was distracting.  I removed it and focused on being able to call my dry-fire shots.

 I also shoot air pistol in my garage and like that best for practicing, because I get instant visible feedback.

Based on advice from Jon I use a dot.  The one on my was gun.   That provides all the feedback I need.

You can always train dryfiring with a coin sitting on top of your muzzle.
