First Full 2700 was AWESOME! Empty First Full 2700 was AWESOME!

Post by Tim:H11 8/28/2016, 8:55 pm

Today was the monthly bullseye pistol match at the Last Resort Range in Columbia TN. Match Masters Pistol Club. I kind of wish there were more shooters, seven shooters total. But it was fun and the shooters that did show up were good people and I enjoyed chatting with em. They made the match fun. It was my first full 2700. I shot the Range Officer 45 in both the center fire agg and 45 agg. I shot an 861 with the 22, 833 CF, and 820 in 45. 2514 overall. First time shooting the 45 in a match. I feel like considering my experience with the 45 I did very well.

Pic is me with the 22. No pics of me with 45 sadly but maybe someday.

Nice job. Start near the top so it's less work getting all the way there.

Great work!  I'm envious!  Great to see another BE shooter dominating!

You out shot my scores for the weekend, and I've been working at it for years! Good job!

Good scores! 861 Definately respectable. Over 800 on CF & 45 aggregates is very good for first time. Your 93 average is excellent. Keep up the good work!

All irons. S&W M41 with Herrett Nationals and irons, and a Range Officer in 45 with some adjustable grips and irons. Only dot I own is on a Ruger MKIII Target and I don't shoot that in matches.

2514 on your first match geez, and with irons. How many years have you been practicing? I've been shooting 2 seasons now and with my recent switch to red dots I've broke into the 2400's. Actually I'm East of Nashville, we have small monthly matches. Me and a buddy plan to make the October monthly match in Columbia so perhaps we'll see you there.

Good show! I don't remember many scores over the many years that I was active in bullseye, but I remember a lot of very fine folks. It's the people who make the sport!

I've been shooting nothing but a slow fire cadence at 25 and 50 since 2013 for practice with muzzleloaders. Muzzleloading pistol is my primary sport. I picked up bullseye as a fun distraction. The only problem I had in the beginning was recovery for sustained fire and it's a problem I still have now with the 45. I'm not new to pistol shooting. Just new to bullseye.

If you ever get around to Franklin and you'd like a shooter to practice along side with come find me at the Charlie Haffner Memorial Range on Owl Hollow RD in Franklin. I'm range officering there on the weekends.
