Individual turning targets

Post by 10sandxs on 10/5/2016, 8:24 pm

Does anyone make individual turning targets anymore? We're looking to fit up our indoor range, but need them to be very portable as they only get used one night per week.  If we left them out on the line, they'd be scrap metal by the following week.

+1 for Portable Target Systems.  I've had the original model for 12 years or so and it has been great. Product and company are both top notch.  They are at Perry every year and are quite easy to deal with.  Give them a call or email and they will set you up with exactly what you will need.

Good luck.

Is there an inexpensive one for in home use so one can dry fire practice the first round of sustained fire?  Or am I just crazy?

@joy2shoot, this may sound weird but the app for Android phones has a graphical representation of the turning target which would be ideal for just that purpose. Just set it up on a shelf in front of you while you dry fire. (unfortunately for me, I have an iPhone. The iPhone app is great but it doesn't have the turning target feature)

I wrote to the developer of the Android app months ago to see if he had plans to make a version for iPhone but...no response. Sad

10sandxs, I make an inexpensive modular system.
How many points do you need?

I have some plans on line for building your own systems.  I used to build them for sale, but I'm not doing so now.  You should be able to use some of my design plans to build something at your range.  Take a look at:

Things of Interest to Bullseye (and International) Competitors

The first few links are for turning systems.

**Note:  If I ever do start making any again, I'll post the details on this forum.

I have one of these:

They work, are largely wood and have parts that are readily replaceable. For a home or individual solution, I like them. For two or more or a short line at a club, I would look at Ed Hall's page and at http://www.portabletargets.com/pricing.html
