X-Line Hinge Trigger

Post by kc.crawford.7 on 10/7/2016, 9:36 am

I have 2 of these triggers that need a new home.  I looked at them last year and went ahead and bought 2.  I'm just not interested in sitting on them waiting for someone to want to put them in a build.  So off they go, $150.00 plus shipping for one or if you want both I'll do $300.00 wish shipping included.  Here is a link for information about the trigger.

I can have them available at the NC State match on the 15-16th of this month if you want to look at them.

K.C., Am I correct in assuming you've never installed one and, therefore, do not offer an opinion as to their benefits?

Mike,

I worked on a pistol at Perry this year that had one installed.  It's a good system, and it will give you a "2-stage" style trigger in a 1911.  It will also from what I felt give you a bit of a roll.  But IMHO my trigger kit accomplishes that, less the 2-stage, much easier and less expensive than the X-Line.

I just fit a pivoting trigger today. It was an old school non adjustable, not the fancy one like KC is selling It dropped trigger pull 8 oz. It took the short roll away. I like the feel of it. If you want a roll trigger get KC's set of goodies. If you want reduced trigger squeeze effort get the pivoting trigger. Basically the roll is at trigger instead of sear. Harder to feel unless you had long roll in the first place.

Would these be good for a 22lr conversion and can you use a trigger shoe over the blade?

Big draw back to these is you have to drill a hole in your frame.

I just fit one that I wedge fit; no hole in frame. Magazine prevents it from backing out. Nice snug fit.

The kits KC has requires the frame have a hole drilled in it. I had bought two when they came out but decided against using them cause I didn't want the hole in my frame.

The one I fit came with a screw. I didn't want to drill and tap frame...ugly. So I hard fit the trigger block with a wedge fit. No Screw!

Rich, no you would not be able to use that trigger with a trigger shoe.
