GSG 1911 .22 Pistol

Post by Jon Eulette on Tue Nov 15, 2016 10:18 am

I've never handled one. Is it fixed barrel or standard 1911 lockup? How well do they group? I know it's 3/4 scale pistol.
Thanks

Standard 1911 I believe. Reviews say about an inch at 25 yards. Not a master class pistol. Only runs on HV Ammo.

There are quite a few upgrades for this pistol available, including a modified bushing that would improve accuracy. I have never seen one in person, nor have I heard of 50 yard accuracy reports...

barrel is fixed.. sort like the Marvel/Nelson with the slide stop . . the one example I worked on was a Sig( who owns GSG now days). It also has a additional pin and screw to retain the barrel..  series 80 style trigger group and the Sig had a magazine safety

cheaply made with lots of mim parts... but for $250  a fun little pistol

I took all the firing pin block crap out, reworked the firing pin. Changed the MSH completely. Trigger job.
Stuck a Burris fastfire and SWR spectre can on it. Runs flawless with sci sv. Mine is a 1.5" max at 25 shooter. I did get a few groups under 1" the one time I shot off a bag , but its is Just A fun range toy I let people shoot to see them smile.
