Someone on facebook posted this link, looks like a good box and another option for shooters to consider.

Looks like a good deal, can't tell by the picture if there is a way to keep the lid open in the wind.  Should be EZ enough to figure out.

Looks like no way to adjust the height of the scope. I'm wondering about the thickness of the aluminum.

A rough guess is that the aluminum is about .063 thick.

The Pistols ride in a version of the Hyskore pistol storage foam racks.  The rack can probably be turned around.

The scope have a longish pole it sits on whose mounting is to the long edge of the shelf.  It looks adjustable in that there is rod below the mounting.

A for effort....
B for result...
3 stars overall.

Looks like a decent entry level box.

Regarding the lid, the Hyscore website says the following: The lid can be held securely in the upright position with a screw thread lock knob. Some ranges have a rule saying all guns must be pointed down range, even in the box.

Looking at the pictures of the gun box, am sure you can remove the hand gun holder cassette and flip it around to point it in the opposite direction.

Believe it is a photographers intent to only photograph muzzles away from the camera rather than muzzles pointing at or in the direction of the picture taker Smile

Yes, you can reverse the gun holder and have the guns pointing downrange. I bought this box a bout a month ago. This is my first and only box, so I don't have a basis for comparison. I find it convenient and good for the function. The only slight gripe is with the height of the scope holder pole - it is a bit short compared with the scopes I see on the line, which are mounted onto the lid. Having a scope with the angled eyepiece helps a lot.
P.S. I now have the shiniest box on the line  Smile

That was the first thing that jumped to my mind when I saw the pictures too.
I don't like the idea of the existing boxes that put some of the pistols pointing the wrong way.

Muzzles should always be pointing downrange, and equipment should be handled so that fellow shooters are never exposed to you handling a gun and sweeping them with the muzzle.

Attaching the lid securely with a screw is not a good idea especially at Perry. That Spring Clip was best. Held the lid open in mild wind but let the lid close in a gust or strong wind. There was a box not sure who made it with a brass pin that fit into a brass bushed hole that prevented the lid from closing. Seen quite a few of those tumbling end to end dumping everything inside at Perry.

I was told about this, so tie down straps were added my equipment checklist for Perry.  The only way my box would move is if the bench went too.
