The Colt 38 Special Kit, also known as the Gil Hebard Model, was produced between 1964 and 1970. It is basically a 38 AMU with a different slide marking, but just over 400 were produced in 38Spl wadcutter. They were produced on order from (noted target pistol dealer) Gil Hebard. They had no sights from the factory, but the hammer, trigger, and grips were factory installed. All the other major parts were shipped separately in the box. It was left up to the buyer to have his gunsmith of choice install sights and assemble the pistol. This one was completed by Jim Clark Sr.

How reliable is it, I had a clark long slide in 38 spl and it would shoot great but generate a few alibis each match.
