Wow there is only one word required, SWEET!  I am hoping that the Matchdot II I mounted on the slide is not to heavy for a 22LR.  I will take a Fastfire 3 along just in case.  I hope the Matchdot works as I am wanting my LB 45 and this to be as close to being the same.   Don

Shouldn't have any problems with the weight. I like a little extra weight peronsaly.

I have the 25mm Ultradot and with the threaded barrel it is just about right though, with irons i prefer adding the muzzle weight.

It is not really "mounted" on the slide. Slide moves but scope stays put. I have a largish Aimpoint mounted on mine and balance feels right.

I missed that I just had to get it out of the pistol box and look at it.  I like that it puts less abuse on the scope.  Don

Well the trip to the range this morning was a failure.  Gun fed fine and ejected well but the trigger wouldn't pull for the second shot.  Rack the slide ejecting the live second round and the third round wound fire and not the forth.  I have a KC trigger assy in the gun and just installer a Ed Brown NM long trigger so Franks shoe would fit.  Went home and investigated what was going on.  The trigger was not resetting and I would have to grab it and pull it out to reset.  Took everything apart and the trigger was rubbing on the lower left and right.  Filed some more and polished and reassembled and back to the range.  All smiles now she ran like a Singer sewing machine and would eat my TAC 22 and CCI SV like they were candy.  I am going to be happy with this gun.  Don

I just received my second barrel for my iron sight rib. Love my unit. I'm sure you will more and more. Larry has a great product out! Customer service is awesome too!

Great news!  I have a brand new Nelson in my safe, waiting for Jon E to build a dedicated Caspian frame/lower for it. Is the trigger set light for a 22, or for a 45?

The KC trigger is set for 45 but since I am trying to get both guns as close to the same I will leave it that way.  This is a very good feeling trigger.  Heading to the range here shortly to see how she shoots.  I only shot 10 rounds yesterday to see if I had fixed the problem.  Don

Glad I decided to open up this forum today, I just placed an order for my Nelson conversion now. I've got a 38 super Les Baer with a KC Crawford roll trigger that I converted to 9mm. Looks like it'll be a 3 caliber conversion gun now lol.

Makes sense.  I shoot a 32 for CF, so plan to get the new lower set at 2.25 or so. In rapid fire, I really have problems with the 45.

Range report.  Just got home from shooting the Nelson.  I was shooting 50 foot indoors and shot the best targets I have ever shot.  As a 70 year old beginner I normally don't score targets just try to get as many as I can in the black.  Most of the time if I get 4 blacks I am a happy camper.  I am really not grouping well.  Shot 3 targets and was putting 8 of 10 in the black with 6 of those being 10s and half were Xs.  I was so pleased I came home and ordered the Battle Axe trigger assy from KC and a set of Altamont Target grips now the 22 and 45 will be the same.  Both guns also has Franks trigger shoes and both has MatchDot IIs.  I did order the grips in walnut so they will look different.  I am a little concerned about how slippery the fine finished grips are shooting a 45 but a little skateboard tape will fix that.  Don

I thought Larry or Kevin mentioned Douglas when we talked to them at Camp Perry.  My memory could be wrong, though.  At any rate, mine seems to be accurate.  Haven't had it in the ransom rest yet, but I shot a 1.5" group off sandbags with Aguila SV.

I've found that many if not most 'smiths making their own barrels tend to keep it a closely guarded secret.
