Scope selection Empty Scope selection

Wondering if anyone has some suggestions on scopes. I was going to try the Aimpoint ACO but when I went to buy it I noticed the listed weight is higher than the 9000SC, it's 7.8 oz. shorter only 5.1" I'm not sure if the mount was included with the weigh. I don't want that high mount for the AR, thought I would use the same Ring I use on the 9000SC. Most other scopes list weight less the rings.
Looking for something that will work as intended, trying to lower weigh as it seems my guns keep getting heavier as I time goes by, they must be getting fat so I thought I'd put them on a diet and serve them lighter scopes.

I looked at them, hate to buy used scope. I seen the guy selling the 5000 said no returns. Also weight not listed and I don't know much about those 2 models.

Hmm. I was curious so I looked it up.

3000        5.6 oz       1" tube       7.1" long

5000        5.8 oz       30mm tube    5.5" long

The 3000 is already over what I would give for it. I bought one for half that 2 months ago and put it on my Nelson. The 5000 is still priced right and if I know your not interested I might bid on it tomorrow.

I like the 30mm tube better, after using 30mm I shot Adam's 45 with the 1" Millet and found I prefer the 30mm.
I don't like the sellers no returns and that it's a silver scope so I'll pass this time. Have you use the 5000?? How good is it? I'll keep my eye open for a black one if it works good. Adam said they had the Aimpoint Comp (I think) but changed it due to battery life. If they didn't turn it off after every string of fire the battery would not last the match. Wasn't just one scope all had the same problem and I know Adam doesn't use a bright dot so his intensity setting is not very high.

I HAD 3 ULTRADOTS FAIL WITHIN 6 MONTHS. SO ON A WHIM I TRIED A BUSHNELL TRS-32. IT COMES WITH A CO-WITNESS AR MOUNT WHICH OF COURSE I DON'T USE. I USE THE OLD AIMPOINT LOW RING MOUNT OR A VORTEX 30MM WIDE RING. TRS-32 ON FLEABAY $89.99 DELIVERED, VORTEX RING $19.99 DELIVERED. I HAVE ONE ON A SLIDE MOUNTED .45 AND A SLIDE MOUNTED 9MM. IT HAS A 5 MOA DOT. WHICH IS GOOD FOR ME I LIKE A LARGER DOT. BEEN USING THEM FOR 6-8 MONTHS. WORKING JUST FINE. JP

I went on a recent aimpoint spree, currently have a partol rifle optic  (PRO) on the hammerli, an ACO on the marvel, a 9000sc on a wadgun, and a nicro still in the box (awaiting ti be affixed to a new wadgun) the weights listed for the pro and aco are usually without the mount. The pro and the 9000sc worked well the other day at the state indoor match, despite me not working well.

I have the 9000SC mounted on a MatchGun2 it works good for me, a bit long and heavy but the match gun is light, almost all aluminum.
I'm looking for something better to put on my AW93, had a reflex sight red dot by Insight but removed it because it can't stand up to rain at Perry. I made extension tubes like the AMU has for my 9000SC and they work well to keep rain out plus good in bright sun. I have a Micro by Precision Arms not bad but I want to add extension tubes. The AW is heavy so I'm looking for something light and possibly similar to the UltaDot Micro. Friend of mine has one, let me borrow it and it has issues! Don't want UltraDot though I did use them years ago when they were good.

I have 3 Matctdot II and all three if you don't put downward pressure on the elevation setting cap the turret turns with out changing the settings.  Then you have to get it to do the same back to where you started and hope it is right.  Now it it happened to click a few times before it went into free spool you are lost.  Two of the three you can't feel them click then you turn the windage.  The elevation is the rubber washer that is compressed when you tighten the screw head on top of the turret.  Don

i'm sure you could make press on shades for your precision arms like the Totts or press ons with threads to adapt ultra dot extensions like Keefer has made.

I did attach a threaded ring to a Precision Arms Red do, the one that has the knob adjustment rather that the push buttons. Works ok but the lens is small. The AMU removed the H1 micro because of parallax, they shoot more that the average guy so it may have been caused by recoil. I had two TRS-32, too much parallax.
Anyone using the Vortex Sparc II or Strike Fire II??  Any Good???
