Late Entry

Post by JKR on 7/3/2017, 10:50 am

Can anyone tell me how to make a late entry for the pistol matches? On line entry seems to be closed as of today. No one is manning the phone at the entry office.

Any advise is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

In the past I have seen people show up, sign up and shoot. I have to think there would be capacity available to do so, of course that is at the risk of the cost or travel.

The program shows online entry is open for a few more days but the site doesn't.  It also says that you can enter on Sunday at perry.  I doubt the entry office at perry will open until then.  I'd call the competitions office at headquarters.  Although they might not answer until Wednesday because of the holiday.

I know I e-mailed Michelle Woods today at the CMP and the response was "out of office until July 6th".
Maybe everybody is gone until then for the holiday?

Yes, I probably won't have any luck until after the holiday. When I called the competitions office I got a recording from 2014.

I'm guessing that a walk in entry should be no problem, this year especially. I'd like some assurance before making the 900 mile trip though!

The money's not the problem Chris. It's just that right now there doesn't seem to be anyone to give it to!

You can walk right up to the window and register. They'll put your packet together while you sit there in most cases. The only hitch is you won't be pre-squaded like everyone else. You just go to the range before a relay and ask them to stick you somewhere.
