WTB / Locate Actual .32 Scoring Plug

Post by CR10X on Wed Sep 13, 2017 10:31 am

Does anyone have available or a source for a true, NRA compliant, .32 caliber scoring plug?

The last one I got from Champions Choice at Perry was labeled .32, but it turned out to be an ISSF rule plug with a .32 plug but a .38 ring so they score as a .38 caliber.

Before I order from another source and take my chances again;  I'm checking here first to see if anyone has a true .32 plug with magnifier or knows of a source.

Thanks

Cecil

Cecil,

I was told about this one but we don't have any direct experience with it.  The description does say for use with Conventional Pistol.  We (the Wake County league) are going to be checking the one we use to see if we have the same issue or if it is one we can recommend.

Hope it is correct. It looks exactly like the one I got from Champions Choice, and while the plug part was for .32, the flange at the top turned out to be .38.   That's what makes it so difficult to check. Please let me know and I'll order one also if it is correct.

Thanks.

On this page http://materials.nrahq.org/recreation-shooting/competitions.html, they list 2 different ones for .32. Not sure of the difference.

Noob question, is this for 32 acp v 32 long?  Would a wadcutter need a scoring plug?

Cecil, I'd rather you plug my 32 shots with a 38 though
