As the years roll by I regret that I didn't buy one when they got discontinued. $900 through a friend that had a FFL. I figured it wasn't worth twice what I paid for great shooting Victor. They shoot well and many championships have been won using one but they always seem to be priced out of reach to me.

If it is in "as new" condition, like the write up says, then this is a decent price. There is a learning curve to the 2 stage trigger, but it is rapidly mastered. The Knapp mount and scope are probably worth $300 together. The extra (3rd) magazine is worth at least $80.00. It isn't a steal, but fair. Mine isn't picky about ammo, but shoots some, like CCI Pistol Match, exceptionally well. It is the most reliable pistol I've ever owned. I went from a Ruger MK I, to a Hi Standard Citation and later a Victor, before getting my first Hammerli 208S. This may sound like a sales pitch, but I have no stake in this pistol.

Nice looking pistol.

Even with the added items it seems several hundred $$ high, based in part on a recent 208S on this forum (which also had the Knapp mount and Ultradat Matchdot sight). I hope it sells:lol:

It sold last night. basically in one day. I had no vested interest in the sale either.

Yeah.  I have to say I was surprised how quickly it sold.  Someone else asked if it was still for sale so possibly there were two people that would have paid $2,800.

You can save yourself $500 right from the start by getting the 215s instead. Same gun, same trigger, just a different finish.

Another one just came up for sale on a Canadian forum (registration required to view). The asking price is $1300 CAD, which is about $1050 USD. My guess is it'll take a while to sell. The Canadian market is not as robust for these older guns.
