I am getting better at this DIY work.  I installed this assy and every thing went together the first time and the gun went back together smoothly.  The RIA 38 Super had to have the trigger replaced I have the Battle Axe roll trigger in my Nelson and my LB 45 and the RI's trigger just didn't feel good.  Tomorrow I will bench rest it at 20yds again and see how it does.  I shot it 2 handed to day at 10yds and had no problem keeping all shots in a 1" bull.  I may just use this gun for this after I have KC build a good 38 Super for me.  The 9mm RO gets here tomorrow and i am going to shoot it as is for a month before sending it off.  Don

Don double check that the hammer half cock is not hitting the sear when fired.

Thanks Jon I had forgot to do that I had just done the safety checks.  It is not hitting as far as I can tell.  If I pull the trigger and ease the hammer forward it is slick as butter.  Should I be checking it another way?  Don

It sounds like you did it right Don. You ride the hammer down with your thumb and see if you can feel the hammer half-cock touching the Sear. Good job.

Thanks Jon.   This is the third one of these I put in and by far went the best.  I was kind of worried when I started the job as I had heard that these made in the PI guns were some times not driller quite right.  I will probably do a barrel bushing next.  The one I did for my GC NM turned out real well and cut group size in half at 50yds.  Don
