The Chiappa 6007 .22lr

First there was a 607 Chiappa followed by the announcement of its replacement, the 6007:

It was said at the time that it would be priced well below 1K which would make it a good point of entry for new shooters but one year later the silence around it is ... deafening.

Anybody knows more about the Chiappa 6007? (BTW it is pronounced Keeapa and not Tcheapa, just sayin').

I remember reading about them a year or so ago. Price was rumored to be around $700, as I recall. But like you said, not a word since.

Was looking forward to having them hit the market.
Then I found an FAS 607 for 595$ and bought that. Wait over.

Chris, asking seriously, since you seem to research this stuff...  why would you buy this over something like a Matchgun MG2?
