Classification clarification. Empty Classification clarification.

Got my classification card in the mail this morning from the NRA. Bumped up one. It says effective August 14, 2018 on it. I'm shooting a match August 11. I can shoot the old classification, right? Or I can shoot the new one if I so choose, correct?

Greetings,

Yes, shoot the old classification.

You can always elect to shoot in a higher classification.

Oddly, you cannot voluntarily ask to be placed in the High Master.

You definitely should shoot the “old” class and think about how cool it will be to finish out your Marksman days with one last hurrah!
