No definitive info regarding who imports/sells the MatchGun.

The "OP"?

Who is that?

Where/where is "Cali"?  Cali, Columbia?  An abbreviation of "California".  "China Auto Logistics Inc."?

Is it a single individual or an organization/company?

Is there a web contact site or a name or telephone number?

Is the MG-2 listed the only pistol available?

What accessories are available?

Appears that the seller has not answered any questions or provided additional info and that all but 1 post is from someone else?

There is little doubt regarding the quality of and experience about the pistol.  Purchasing something from a "phantom" seller sounds a bit scary.

How does one mount a red dot on it? Are there dedicated scope mounts available?

Jon E made my rail.

I've got quite a few 22 target pistols, and the Matchgun is really worth having. One of my top favorites. It is so unique, it was a " gotta have" for me.Laughing

Greg let me put my filthy hands on his.  Amazing trigger.

You might try reading all the replies, and using some common sense?

Yes, Cali does stand for Chinas Auto Logistics.  Good call

Read the first post re: options, accessories, etc,

Read the Match Gun web sight. (there are links in the replies)

Read the comments by others who have purchased from the Phantom.  Perhaps OP stands for dyslexic Opera Phantom ?

Perhaps PM the OP. (hint, PM is not Prime Minister:)).

Try Google for those uber clever accronyms.

His name is Kangbin and he was prompt in responding to my PM's. I hope to possibly get on next year. Also I'm been emailing Jon about him and Jon says he's a good guy, that's enough for me.

Kangbin is a friend for 7 years. He’s a great guy. I bought my second MG2 from him.

Tsk, tsk!

Having "basked" in the San Diego sun on the grinder at NTTC more than a few years (decades) ago, I know how the Southern "Cali" sun can wreak havoc with the brain.  Not unlike that at Camp Pendleton.

MGUSA has contacted me.

Did you mean "acronyms".  Perhaps Google might be something you should try as well.  It is best to only use 40 dollar words that you can correctly spell.

I believe my response is in keeping with yours.

Might be time for a chill pill and to end this foolishness.

Post by Jon Eulette on 12/15/2018, 2:34 am

I’ve been lying low for the most part about my involvement with the Match Gun pistols. I’ve been involved since MGUSA imported the 1st order. Match Guns worked with us and we made 2 changes to the MG2 pistols; I installed 2nd Generation and then 3rd Generation parts for the factory in all the pistols. The second import shipment had 3rd Generation parts installed from the factory. I personally disassemble each pistol and double check some areas and do some minor tuning for reliability. They are running nearly flawless now. The latest MG2 is now a fourth Generation pistol. The factory has tested two prototype pistols running 10,000 rds through each pistol. They had two malfunctions. So the pistols have been meticulously redesigned over the last 2 years for reliability. It’s been a fun project to work on and I am looking forward to the future of seeing the success from the time that has been put into evolving the pistol. I am also in the middle of R&Ding some fast twist barrels for the MG4 .32 S&W long pistols. I’m also working on a .32 ACP conversion. At this time there are only a few shipments a year, but MGUSA is working on getting a regular supply of the pistols into the US market. The next order will soon be shipped. There are a couple MG2’s and a MG4 available. The MG2 will come with a removable optic rail. This would be a great time to get one before the prices go up. Match Guns is going full steam ahead to compete against the Pardini SP pistols. I’m getting another MG2 in this shipment. I really like the pistol a lot.

Thanks for the info Jon and to others who have left your comments in dealing with MGUSA.

Unfortunately, being an importer doesn’t confer perfect marketing and ad writing abilities.  Which has led to some questions in this thread in the quest for more information and some *ahem* snappy replies.

The Internet is wonderful, but dehumanizing by its nature as well, and too easily leads to communication breakdowns.

Let’s exercise some trust in each other’s good intentions as we learn to trust the good intentions of MGUSA as well.  They may not write the best ad copy, but seem responsive to PM’s.

I do not know the MGUSA personally, but the positive comments from our forum members speak volumes.

I have a 102mm wide palm and 59mm thick thumb and pad. The thickness is harder to fit then the width. Which is why I have a problem with Euro grips.

So the MG2 comes with the optic rail?
Jon, are you still doing the QC on the imports or are the latest 4thGen EVO series good to go now?

How much would the .32acp kit run once completed?
I assume that the .32 kit will fit on the MG2R?

Yes the MG2 comes with an optic rail.
Yes I’m QC’ing all the pistols. I haven’t seen/held a 4th Generation pistol yet, so it’s just trying to ensure that no stone is unturned.
.32 acp will be converted MG4, so will not work on the MG2.
No price as of right now.
