Not sure if I should get the mechanical or electronic trigger
I am leaning towards the mechanical trigger simply because I have had a less then stellar experience with a hammerli electronic trigger.
Can you dry fire repeatedly with the electronic trigger without racking the slide?
How durable is the electronic trigger? How much experience does matchguns have with the electronic?
Thank you,
Cranky

Re: FS: New Matchguns MG2
We are getting our first electronic trigger on the next order. So we have no experience with that yet.

MG2 electronic trigger and rail option
MG has been making electronic triggers for a long while. According to a test done by someone on facebok's MatchGuns user group, its air pistol electronic trigger response is one of the fastest ones.
Yes it can be dry fire repeatedly without racking the slide.
As for durability, if the electronic trigger has an issue, the factory will help fixing it. We have very good experience with the factory in getting parts and services.
MG2 (ISSF) for ISSF and Standard disciplines, has two M4 tapped holes on its top slide cover (the blue metal cover). These tapped holes are for mounting rail. The pistol itself does not come with such rail. Jon is making rails for this MG2.
MG2 (Bullseye) for NRA Bullseye will have integral rail. This rail will be machined onto the blue metal cover. It is planned to be out next year. The MG factory is kind enough to take many of our designs into consideration.

Re: FS: New Matchguns MG2
I don't think that Jon QC'd my pistol, but it runs flawlessly. I got mine from Kangbin and he also helped me get spare parts and an aluminum front piece to lighten up the pistol. Though, I'm considering putting back the steel one to see if my wobble gets noticeably smaller.

Re: FS: New Matchguns MG2
Jon, are you coming to the Desert Midwinter in 2019? If yes, do you mind letting me try a couple of shots out of your MG? Just curious if my Morini is worth upgrading to a better version of it

Re: FS: New Matchguns MG2
This all comes at a great time when I am thinking about a second .22 to go with my Pardini. Question is do I wait for the MG2 bullseye edition or get the MG2. Also do you wait for an actual US importer to deal with. If I am reading this correctly the MG2 Bullseye has an intergal scope rail and the option for a longer barrel. My sense is to wait for a US importer. Also I am left handed with large hands, so there is always the grip issue. Thoughts?

Looks like my questions are being answered. Will be posting a model 14-1 for sale soon to help with the cost of a new .22!

Re: FS: New Matchguns MG2
I just want to add I had purchased MG2 from KB and it was a flawless experience (other than wait time
). I went through 5000 rounds now of CCI and Aquila SE and no feeding issues. MG is also easy to customize.
The grip angles adjustment and great trigger makes it a perfect gun for bullseye in my opinion.

Yes, custom made for mg2 of course. You can find it on ebay , search for MG2 rail. Two long ones and one short left.

Re: FS: New Matchguns MG2
These rails will not fit the new MG2 that is coming out. They have different screw hole locations. I’m working right now on fabricating new scope mounts for the new version that will be arriving in the new year.

Talked with Kang yesterday. The way I understand it is the newer Bullseye version will be out in 2-3 months and will incorporate an integral rail.

Would you do business through IRUNGuns to get one into Canada?
How much for an MG2 Bullseye/MG4 Bullseye pair?
How much for conversion kits to have an ISSF legal and bullseye MG2/MG4?
One of the frustrations I've had in understanding the different offerings is that there seems to be an unpublished parts list of front ends and weights and other bits that I've seen discussed in forums.

Friend of mine bought one and has had nothing but trouble with it. Last I knew it was being shipped back to Italy. Gave me enough pause to wait for a while before I buy one.

One of the new models? They've been exceptional at our local matches where quite a few folks have them.

Can you contact me regarding this issue? We've had one pistol out or nearly 100 that had a slide issue that was resolved. The factory worked with us and made it right! So I'd be interested in knowing who had the problem. My personal pistol has over 2,500 alibi free rounds through it in the last 6 months.

Jon
If you are referencing my gun in the post, all issues have been resolved as of this date. The gun was never sent to Italy....but to the factory authorized MG gunsmith (Jon Eulette) in CA. A big thank you to MGUSA, Jon Eulette and Matchguns for working through the issue and getting the gun back to 100% reliability. The other gun that was bought by a fellow shooter and friend here in Michigan at the same time as mine has operated at 100% reliability from the get go and has never had an issue.
Looking forward to shooting it at the MI State Championship match this weekend!

Great to hear it Tony. My misunderstanding, and I stand corrected. Not going to make the State this weekend. Too many things going on. Shoot well.

I have fired over 1000 rounds through my MG2 EVO with only one FTE and that was in during the first 100 rounds.
