Green Dot powder in .45 ACP

Does anyone have experience with Green Dot powder and a 200 SWC bullet for short line loads? I was given a bunch of older Green Dot powder and I’m looking for a starting point for an “accurate enough” load for the short line.

Just FYI, Green Dot has the same burn rate as WST.  You can go as low as 3.8 gr. with good accuracy and reliability.

Green Dot, 231/HP38, Zip, and N320 are all close to the same burn rate, but that does not mean they can replace each other. 231/HP38 is STILL my most accurate powder for .45 Auto, followed by Bullseye and AA2. Zip has been a real disappointment.
3.8-4.2gn is usually within the "sweet" spot for 200gn lead bullets and Green Dot.

I've actually got some 231 sitting around, too. What's your charge of 231 for a 200 gr. bullet, noylj?

4.7-5.1 gn depending on bullet. Only shoot 200gn L-SWC and accuracy point changes with bullet nose profile, so you have to find your sweet spot.
