Brazos Bullet Company - Grand Opening
Steve and I (Paul) are happy to announce that we have started a cast bullet business making competition quality projectiles, and we would like to invite you to check us out, and consider shooting our bullets.
We provide many pistol profiles, finished in either wax lube or Hi-Tek coating, and sell for a very competitive price of $2.80/lb, or $42/15lbs. Shipping is discounted to $5/bag, and if you buy 60lbs or more, shipping is included in the price. You can ask any questions here, on our facebook page, or sending email to sales@brazosprecision.com.
I know that the bottom-line question is whether our bullets shoot, and especially whether Hi-Tek coated bullets shoot. We are going to do a lot of testing and sharing of the results, but we do have some early results, thanks to our very own Mason Talbert. Mason shot his first 2600 score two week ago at the Austin Rifle Club match of 2616-100x. This was a full 71 points higher than his previous best, and he used our 45, 200gr SWC (H&G#68) BB bullet profile, finished in Hi-Tek for the entire match. You can see a bit about his targets here: http://www.brazosprecision.com/Mason-Talbert-Blows-Past-2600-to-2616-100x_b_3.html
If we don't have something you need, just let us know. We have a good selection of popular profiles already, but we will be adding new ones weekly.
Thank you for considering us, and especially thank you for those of you that have already become customers. If you do decide to buy, please use the promo code BFGRANDOPENING to receive 10% off your entire order as a thank you for trying us out! (http://www.brazosprecision.com/?ApplyPromo=bfgrandopening). This code is good until the end of April 2019.

Re: Brazos Bullet Company - Grand Opening
If I did the math right that is 525 rounds per $42 and 2100 for free shipping on the 200 grn 45 @ $168?
Do you have a Brinell rating on the lead?
I am still looking for my next Dardas.
Thanks!

Lex, math looks right!
The Alloy is 13 BHN, which is hard enough to handle and travel, but soft enough to be accurate. We have confidence that is the right balance that works.
We are working on getting the 160gr button nose to run well in the collator and when we do we will put them on the site for all to enjoy!

Yeah, those are not flat and have wrinkles in them. Mold was not hot enough. I’ll post some picts of bases in a bit when I get back to the shop.

I have around 2600 of their 160s that he mentioned they are.working on getting them to feed correctly in their sizer. Mine were the Hi-Tec coating.. excellent bullets with full flat bases. No issues at all. Their coating was well done.

Re: Brazos Bullet Company - Grand Opening
I bet if those 160s were a bevel base they would work better in the feeder. I can’t get my 160s my cast flat base to work in my bullet feeder either. My H&G 130 bb works like a charm
I have some of the Brazo 200 gr swc bullet coated and they are top notch!

The problem with the hg 242s is that it is about as long as it's wide and the std collator for the magna sizer will not handle them.. they jam. Perhaps a custom plate would solve the issue

+1 and I actually prefer flat, not bevel, base, especially on a low weight bullet.farmboy wrote:I’m interested in the 160’s when they’re ready

Would also be interested in the 160 when ready. Can you also make a 125 gr flat base for the 38 super?

I also have talked to Paul about that bullet. It was all we ran in our supers. Unique to Dardus. They do have the 150gr. Flat base In that style.

Here is an extreme close-up of some bases of 38-158-SWC-BB-LG I was running this evening. There is some sheen, which is flat like the rest of the base. Not the best photo, but just one off the sorting table.

Thank you to all that have order!
Thomas asked if we would make the 160gr button nose available unsized, and we are going to do it over the weekend. If you are interested in either plain lead, or hi-tek coated, but unsized you will be able to order directly and we will get them out. Once we get the feeding done, we will change over to delivering them sized like everything else. Thanks of for the suggestion Thomas (and Joe)!

Re: Brazos Bullet Company - Grand Opening
I may try there 150 flat base Bullets for the super. I haven’t had any luck with the bevel base. I ordered them by the case from Dardas as did I with the 160 for the 45.

Re: Brazos Bullet Company - Grand Opening
We have the 5lb sample packs, which are still a good price for so few. Try them out and see how they work. In fact try them side by side and really judge if it works.
Re: Brazos Bullet Company - Grand Opening
I have to find a way to get those stubby little 160s to work in my bullet feeder. Good thing I can print my own plates. I’m thinking of making the plate thinner so the bullets can flip out easier

Re: Brazos Bullet Company - Grand Opening
The hi-tek coated bullets if done correctly are terrific.. no lube in your dies to clean, they shoot just like lubed bullets and you are not directly exposed to lead loading them by hand.
BTW Branos does the hi-tek coating correctly. The coating does not rub off on your hands..
Cleaning your barrels is basically running a patch thru your bore. You could say i like them.
