First topic message reminder :

Steve and I (Paul) are happy to announce that we have started a cast bullet business making competition quality projectiles, and we would like to invite you to check us out, and consider shooting our bullets.

We provide many pistol profiles, finished in either wax lube or Hi-Tek coating, and sell for a very competitive price of $2.80/lb, or $42/15lbs. Shipping is discounted to $5/bag, and if you buy 60lbs or more, shipping is included in the price. You can ask any questions here, on our facebook page, or sending email to sales@brazosprecision.com.

I know that the bottom-line question is whether our bullets shoot, and especially whether Hi-Tek coated bullets shoot. We are going to do a lot of testing and sharing of the results, but we do have some early results, thanks to our very own Mason Talbert. Mason shot his first 2600 score two week ago at the Austin Rifle Club match of 2616-100x. This was a full 71 points higher than his previous best, and he used our 45, 200gr SWC (H&G#68) BB bullet profile, finished in Hi-Tek for the entire match.  You can see a bit about his targets here: http://www.brazosprecision.com/Mason-Talbert-Blows-Past-2600-to-2616-100x_b_3.html

If we don't have something you need, just let us know. We have a good selection of popular profiles already, but we will be adding new ones weekly.

Thank you for considering us, and especially thank you for those of you that have already become customers. If you do decide to buy, please use the promo code BFGRANDOPENING to receive 10% off your entire order as a thank you for trying us out! (http://www.brazosprecision.com/?ApplyPromo=bfgrandopening). This code is good until the end of April 2019.

One of the Brazos guys left some samples at our last match. Only been a few days but early reports are all positive - good groups, clean loading and clean shooting. One in particular mentioned the hi-tek. He's impressed with the lack of residue from the Brazos bullets (apparently other brands he's tried flaked and left junk on his fingers while reloading).

Some of the guys that have tested are ordering larger batches to really give 'em a run and see what they'll do...

I ordered some of the 38s with the hi tek coating and have been really impressed so far.   Are these coated bullets gtg for DR or will I need to buy the waxed pack?

The NRA rules only specify the weight (158 grns.) & the type (Round nose or SWC). The type of lube or coating doesn't matter, so load and fire away.

I think they can be coated, but they can’t be plated.

Zane, here is a picture of the molds. We need to cast most to have bullets to photo!

Also I'm curious, do you guys find that you dislike the smell of the Hi-tek coated bullets? I tried some from Missouri Bullet a few years ago and didn't like the smell when they're shot. Maybe I should give them a shot again.

I have just listed the 160gr 45 button nose, flat base as available for order:

http://www.brazosprecision.com/UNSIZED-45-160gr-Button-NoseFlat-BaseGroove-656ct-0064bullet_p_52.html

These are unsized so please only order them if you are prepared to do the sizing yourself. We will get the collating working, but for now, you can now get them in DIY form for now.

Thank you, Paul.  I have placed an order for the UNSIZED/UNLUBED/UNCOATED 45-160s.  And I also purchased a sample back of the wax lubed 185gr .45 button nose.

Also, to fellow forum members, remember Paul’s discount code is good till the end of April.

Will the 160’s and the 185 button be available in sample packs?  I think I saw the button but not the 160’s on your site

I have not listed the unsized 160s as samples, because it is too easy for someone to not understand they are getting unsized bullets. If someone really wants a sample pack of these, I'll handled it via a direct request.

You will probably want to go to this link and order your samples.  Make sure you pick the right bullet and whether you want wax lube or Hi-Tek.

p.s. I am not affiliated with Brazos Bullets, except as a customer.

Those are pretty bad in the base. They look like lead shot was added, or not enough tin. We had a caster using shot for casting; put himself right out of business. Shot has arsenic to make it clump, not flow.
