2 Stage Trigger for 45 ACP
I bought a Pardini SP .22 LR pistol last year. It has a 2 stage trigger. I really like the 2 stage trigger.
I have looked for a 45 ACP pistol with a 2 stage trigger and I don't find them available.
What gives ? Why don't 45's have 2 stage triggers ?

Sure they do. It's called a roll trigger.

A roll trigger is about as close as you can get. If look at how the trigger works you will understand.

My Gold Cup is 2 stage. The spring slack or takeup is about 3 pounds till the trigger contacts the sear. Then it takes another pound to drop the hammer.
I am sure someone can explain it better.

I watched some videos on the Pardini 45 GT-45. Wow. Is it as good as it seems to be?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mpFSYizQYrE
Is it reliable, compared to the 1911 guns so many people seem to use?
They show that the trigger assembly comes out as a unit, but not how to get inside it, or how to adjust it.

I know some people like them. The grip angle is a little steeper than a 1911, and the grip is pretty wide, as it's a double stack. Better if you have big hands.

I shoot a Gold Cup also. I'd be interested in how to set it up like yours.
My Pardini has an initial take-up, then a slight detent into the 1st stage, another detent into the 2nd stage when the gun fires. It doesn't sound like your Gold Cup is quite the same but getting rid of that 3# take-up would be welcome.

Re: 2 Stage Trigger for 45 ACP
I know three guys who own and shoot them. They all had some issues getting a load that the gun would reliably feed and had to tinker with the magazines a bit, but overall are happy with them. They are much harder to find someone who knows them to work on them and they aren't cheap.Mikemyers wrote:I watched some videos on the Pardini 45 GT-45. Wow. Is it as good as it seems to be?

My GC came from Colt that way. If i remember correctly, the sear spring may be something to adjust? Check with your gunsmith.Ljohns wrote:243winxb wrote:My Gold Cup is 2 stage.
