Ruger Mk IV Lite weight question
Is there a way to add weight to a Ruger Mark IV Lite?
It may be actually too light for my wife to shoot comfortably.
Thanks!
Val

Magazine bumper made out of a lead weight instead of rubber? Cast a lead weight in that same shape as the bumper and drill a hole in it, replace the screw through the hole to secure it to the bottom of the magazine.
Something like this, but made out of lead instead of rubber.

Or take this baseplate off,

then cast a mold out of plaster of paris or something, heat up some lead on a fire or oven or whatever, fill the mold with lead, let it cool, then insert the lead baseplate back in place instead of the original metal one.

The barrel is shrouded and so it won't work.Black_Talon wrote:Maybe this will work:

On option: Let her shoot it as is. If she enjoys shooting matches and, perhaps, league. Upgrade and sell it off. You'll likely not lose too much. (or, keep it as a backup).

I'm pretty sure Hogue makes oversize grips which add some mass to the MkIV.

IMHO the issue is more muzzle weight.

Buy her a gun she likes to shoot.....end of story. If she is out shooting with you, don’t even blink, just do it.

Oh, well shoot. Easy solution, buy the heavy barrel and have it installed. Or have her rent a variety of options until she finds the perfect fit, then buy it new off Gunbroker.mspingeld wrote:IMHO the issue is more muzzle weight.
