How many of us can afford to blow off a NATIONAL HOLIDAY with our families to shoot a match?

Forgive my ignorance, but the CMP draft schedule for 2020 includes 3 days of "CMP Pistol Aggregate Match". What is that?

It's a place holder for matches they are proposing to fill in the schedule, possibly a 2700, (I'd like to see an EIC 2700 with 22, CF & 45) - they sent out a questionnaire.

The NRA should move Pistol Matches to the 13th or 14th.  Yes it overlaps CMP Smallbore & Rimfire matches but that would be better than the 4th.

I think if they want to put the final knife in the National matches then holding them over the fourth might help in that effort. They'll need less firing positions in Atterbury that way.

I just sent an email to pistol@nrahq.org asking them to reconsider the proposed dates. I suggest anyone else who thinks other dates would be better to do the same.

That said, I haven't seen anything from the NRA about it yet (but can't get to everything from work). There is a history of the CMP publishing schedules that may not be totally agreed to by the NRA.

So unless Canton runs a 1 day 2700 on July 5th or conflict with NRA for that weekend, they will be pushed way back into late June before the NRA matches.

Does that conflict w/ the Bristol (IN) Regional or is there now an "open" weekend between?

I don't think Bristol has scheduled the match yet. I would be willing to bet that Canton and Bristol will schedule around the NRA & CMP, so they will probably be a week earlier than in past years.

We will probably hear about the dates around the beginning of the year, after the NRA and CMP have finalized their schedules.
