Great Match with a huge prize table. The new Bullseye range is fantastic!

What does it mean "2700 short course?" I saw that on their program but I've never heard of that before. Is that when you fire .22 through the entire 2700 instead of the traditional CF and .45 portion?

Thanks for the info. I have another question though: when it says "CMP distinguished .22 match," do they mean that's for EIC points? It's not clear...

Yeah, you got it.  Most State and Regional matches will have the CMP EIC 22 and Service Pistol matches along with the NRA Distinguished Revolver match.

Looks like I can't shoot only the .22 900. I'd have to pay for the whole 2700. Then $20 for the distinguished rimfire. I only have a rimfire pistol.

I'm confused. Why not take the direct route and call Dave Donley (or email him at dwdonley at mindspring dot com). Tell him you have a rimfire and which matches you want to fire. For sure, you can shoot the Sat/Sun 2700 in the .22 only rimfire class.  Probably can shoot Fri short course as .22 only also. Both matches plus .22 EIC will be about $115. Worth twice that for this top rated match.

Call or contact the match director.

FYI:

Any Tournament can have a .22 Caliber Only Aggregate (even if not in the original match program if changes are made prior to the start of the Tournament and published accordingly); but Tournaments do not have to include the .22 Caliber Only Aggregate.

22.6 Tournaments- Tournament sponsors are encouraged to include .22 Caliber Only Aggregate Competition individual and team events as a part of their program. Match sponsors shall report .22 Caliber Only Tournament results separately from other tournament results.

Thanks for the info. I sent him an email. I'm hoping I can register for the .22 900 and the .22 EIC only.

If I had someone to carpool from the Florida panhandle, that would be good too.

I spoke to Mr. Donley on the phone this morning. He seemed like a really nice guy. I explained to him that my 9 mm top end is shot out so I'm only shooting rimfire these days. He said I'm not the only one who asked him about shooting rimfire only. So he's changing the match, to allow shooters to fire .22 through the whole 2700, and the short course. So I'm headed up Friday after work, and staying to fire on Saturday and Sunday. If anyone lives near Eglin, Florida, you're welcome to carpool with me.

Also, he said that 26 people are registered so far, so there is room for more. He said their new range is top notch and I think he said it can accommodate 48 shooters on the line.

All good things come to those who just ask! At least that's true with Dave and the other fine folks at River Bend Gun Club. I'm recovering from a medical problem and may or may not make the match. If I do, look for me--the really old guy also from Florida.

Mr. Donley put on a really good match. The new range is very nice. I like the 50 yard targets. They are a metal U-shaped frame that flip down when not in use, so there is no need to carry target frames out to the 50 yard line. The scores were posted right after the match was finished, which was great. I met some really nice people. My return spring in my Nelson was causing all kinds of malfunctions, but a really nice man there gave me a lighter 7 lb spring and that got me back in the game.
