SOLD- Steel slide marvel 20190911
Selling my older (2003) steel slide, lock back marvel. Started as aluminium slide, but that one cracked and I had it redone with steel in 2010 and it's ran great since.  I have both open sights and scope rail with it. Also have compensator and muzzle weight because I got tired of cleaning the compesator. Two steel mags, two "brownells" that function veey well. Asking $575+ shipping for everything.

I have a steel slide Marvel. Runs on a 5# recoil spring. The cycling feels different than the aluminum slide because it cycles slower. Really like it. I highly recommend them.

Jon, where did you get a 5 lb spring? I'm having issues finding 6 or 7 lb springs...

I had purchased it from Marvel when Sheila was still there.

Ok... has anyone tried model 41 springs? I don't have a 41 anymore, but memory says they might be close...

Be careful with 41 springs. I had a buddy that was helping someone diagnose issues with his Marvel and he put in a 41 spring, almost immediately the spring got wedged in the front clearance hole and put the spiral engraving on the recoil rod when removed which turned it in to trash. I had the same problem with a Nelson however was using a nelson spring, Nelson took care of the issue.

I deburr the spring end and polish it. I've had guide rod eaten/gouged by spring before with stock Marvel spring.

Jon,  the issue is not the deburring, it is that OEM 41 springs have closed ends on both ends and the Wolff have open end on one end (closed on other).  The closed end can't get through the recoil rod/frame gap but the Wolff's open end has been reported to fully jam 41s when it works its way into that gap.

Great info folks.  Thanks much.  Sounds like if you put the closed and ground end on the slide, and the open end on the end of the recoil spring guide rod you should be safe...
