Looking for a Nelson scope rail, figured someone might have one they don't use.

Sorry, mine is for Marvel but think it fits. Maybe check with Ferking first.

I have two Marvel rails that Roddy made one new hole to fit onto Nelson barrels.  The front hole matches.  Only need to relocate a hole at the rear.  Also file a small radius at the left rear to fit the Nelson slide.  Might check the extractor clearance too.  All easy.  The advantage is to have aluminum rails on Nelsons.

Marvel aluminum rib, grooved for Leupold rings by CPC, OPA Comp.

They do not easily interchange in my experience. One will need the rear machined to clear the slide. I believe Nelson to Marvel requires that. I think I had to drill and tap a hole as well in the barrel.

I can appreciate trying to save a buck....but sometimes it costs more either in time of fouled up parts than to just bite the bullet & buy the right one up front.

Or just be patient, one will show up. This WTB has only been up for 3 hrs.

I looked into a Marvel rail, but would prefer the Nelson for the reasons mentioned. I am wanting this to try lightening it, but don't know if I want it as light as the aluminum rail. My Ruger is 2 ounces heavier than my Nelson, but feels lighter. I think it's the balance of the Nelson, more than the overall weight. My .45 also feels lighter, even though it is less than 1 ounce difference.

Balance makes a big difference. The conversions can be top heavy, especially mine that has a Marvel brass rib with a 9000SC dot.

Aren't all the Nelson rails made from aluminum? Marvel has both aluminum and brass.

Ok learned something today. For some reason I thought they were aluminum. Might be a good in between aluminum and brass.

Frames vary in weight too.  You might want a light rail on a heavy frame or vice versa.
