Springfield Trophy Match Empty Springfield Trophy Match

Springfield trophy match with factory front strap checkering that was accurized by Dave Salyer with Kart barrel and bushing. Maintained recently by Dan Norwood (National Guard Gunsmith). New hammer and sear with Dan’s short roll. The trigger on this is probably my favorite. I’ve used it with an ultradot and Aimpoint 9000. It cycles smooth, has a good fit, and is accurate. With the Atlanta Arms ammo I’ve sandbagged at 50 yards holding 3 inches I’d guess it to be. Would obviously shoot tighter in a rest. Will include the gold trigger shoe and wood grip panels in addition to the sharkskin grips. Would work with irons as well if you removed the rail and added a quality front and rear sight (already cut for the adjustable rear).

$1500

That gun sounds like it has a good pedigree; it may be worth the time and effort to rest it at 50 yards and post pics. There's a big difference between a 3" gun and a 1.5" gun.

Or someone may be getting a sleeper on the cheap.

I remember when Dave bought this gun. He was in town for a match and I got a chance to look it over and shot it. The gun will flat shoot. And I’ll say this too - this stuck out the most when I first saw it cause I was jealous my gun didn’t have this; a lot of the RO or otherwise budget wad gun builds don’t have a checkered front strap and this gun does. I wish my gun was checkered. This gun has all the features we want on a bullseye gun and it’ll put shots where you need em. Who ever buys it is getting a good deal. This would make a hell of a back up gun or a new shooters first gun. Slap an Aimpoint on this thing and you’re ready to get into the 45 game. I’ve been tempted to buy it and sell mine but I was overruled by my wife.

I didn’t so much ask as I did mention the idea and she swatted the idea out of the sky like a bug with a fly swatter.

Asking the wife is why I gotta sell some stuff. Before Perry I asked and she made me promise I wouldn’t come home with another gun. Guess she didn’t know custom builds take so long. So while I didn’t come home with it, I still owe and need the cash haha
