SOLD - WTS M-1 GARAND Empty SOLD - WTS M-1 GARAND

Post by mbmshooter on 2/19/2020, 4:55 pm

I realize this is a BULLSEYE forum but wanted to offer my M-1 Garand in case there may be a few who also shoot or collect
the M-1 Garand.

This Garand was won at Camp Perry in 2005 and is an IHC Collector Grade M-1.
Serial Number 5174xxx places the manufacture date in 1955/1956
The LMR barrel is the original and is dated 3 54   It gauges at:  TE 1.5   ME 1.0

While at the Desert Midwinter Championship on 16Feb2020 I asked the All Guard Chief Armorer to inspect the entire rifle.
He confirmed that every component is accurate!  I had this and another Garand (Springfield) displayed at the DMWC with
the message to "MAKE AN OFFER".  The Springfield is sold and I'll entertain offers for this beauty.

I have never fired this rifle since acquiring it in 2005 and am in the process of selling my collection so my children won't have
to be bothered.

I haven't yet taken any photos but will be happy to do so should there be any interest from an interested party.

Mike

I have been informed that a "price is required" to be posted on Commercial Row.  Not being a Garand Guy and having never sold one I went to the CMP Auctions to see what a Collectors Grade M-1 goes for.  They have none at the present time but during previous auctions they were going for $3000+.  While this rifle could easily fetch such a price and in order to comply with the rules, I'll set the price at $2250 OBO for my friends on Bullseye-L.  Buyer pays for shipping.

They really are spectacular. I also won one a few years back and am kind of ashamed that I haven’t shot it. It’s just to pretty to shoot. Of all the guns in my collection, this is the only one that buddies or the in laws care to see. Good luck with the sale, I’m sure the buyer will not be disappointed with this piece of history.
