No doubt a cool gun. While I am sure Ed's execution is superb and porting is innovative, I have seen the overall locked barrel design of this sort few times on Gunbroker over the past about 2 years. Of course execution was quite crappy and the guns sold sub $1000, but they are out there. One was also with hinge trigger. This makes me wonder if it's random gunsmiths tinkering or if there is a name for this design. Copies I saw were basically piecemealed - standard frame, slide cut a la 41 or Marvel, barrel welded with second part of the slide (that was cut off) and pinned down. In one case barrel looked custom machined to the design. I always thought it would be awesome to have one with good execution.
