.32 S&W Long WC Loads Empty .32 S&W Long WC Loads

Anyone have a pet load that works well in a Sig Hammerli P240 and / or Benelli MP3S in .32 S&W Long WC using 98 grain sold wad cutters? I have a Star Machine Corp., progressive loader being rebuilt in this caliber and need to decide on what powder bushings to order.

1.7 WST Fast
1.7 BE slower
1.9 231

All good loads, can't comment to your specific gun, so few around

Good luck

Back when you could get H&N bullets, I shot some great 50 yard scores with my Benelli MP 90 using 1.8 of Bullseye. Haven’t found another bullet that shoots as well for me.
Hard to know what will work in your pistols. That MP3S is a rare bird!

Sounds like you're using Speer Plinkers.  As do I. Try using 1.4 grains of Titewad.

I shoot mostly at 25y, I find 1.35 Of 310 to be very accurate with bumped Plinkers.

FWIW, I never had great luck with cast Bullets. (YMMV).

We use very light loads of VV310 for short line in three different .32 pistols,  less than our long line load.  For the long line we use 1.4 VV310 with bumped Plinkers.  Greg is correct this powder and bullet are very accurate.

I now have 1,000 Lapua .314 98 Grain L HD WCs and 1,000 Meister .312 Hard Cast, Double End WCs

I have Bullseye, Unique, Titewad, Titegroup and Red Dot in my powder inventory out of the loads I see listed. See loads listed for all of these powders.

Since Titewad and Bullseye have been recommended, which meters better?

Also what crimp are you using? Roll or Taper? Both? I think Bruce will provide me with both crimp dies.

All I’ve used is Bullseye and WST. Both metered quite well I thought. However, I weighed all my 50 yard loads. Tenths matter with the 32.
I use a light roll crimp, mostly to enhance function.

The Star is coming with a Roll Crimp die as part of the seater die and a second tapered crimp die. Either can be cranked out so only one crimp is used. Also have Powder bushings coming for 1.6,.7 and 1.8 grains of Bullseye as I have a good stock of that all from the same lot.

Greetings,

The Star can be set up to either Roll or Taper crimp at the last station.

For Taper, a dedicated Taper Crimp die is used.

For Roll Crimp, a second seating die can be used with the seating stem removed in the last station.

Talk nice to Bruce and I am sure a dedicated Roll Crimp die can be had. (Looks like a Taper Crimp die as it has no internal threads.)

Nice thing about Star. Generally you can get custom items made.

Cheers,

Dave
